Its hard for me to reach my upper back with my hands because of rotatory cuff injuries. When I shower I use a long washcloth with handles to reach that area. Any tips for abhyanga on the back? I guess I could dedicate a long washcloth for applying oil there.
Hi Rolf. I understand your challenge. I have struggled with oiling my back at times without a rotator cuff injury. The idea in abhyanga is to be comfortable so if the process causes suffering we need to do it differently. A washcloth is a great idea or one of the long-handled pads or brushes. I like a cloth I purchased from a local Asian store that is specifically made for back washing. If I can find a pic, I will post it. Thanks for your question.
